About
Growing through generations, guided by integrity, honesty and long-term prosperity.
Based in Dubai, SRG Holding is a leading family-owned holding company. We combine property development and management, hospitality, wholesale trading and investments, forming a portfolio that delivers long-term growth while shaping the character of world-class global cities.
Over the past century, SRG Holding has been at the forefront of building and managing some of Dubai’s most recognisable landmarks. Burj Al Salam, Sheraton Grand Hotel Dubai, Staybridge Suites Dubai Financial Centre and Staybridge Suites Dubai Internet City, Marina Heights Tower, Marquise Square, Upside, Aria Gardens and Grove Mall are all part of our portfolio.
Now led by the second generation of the AlRafi family, our company remains grounded in values of honesty, integrity and long-term partnership – principles that continue to guide our strategy.
Our History
When Dubai Creek was beginning to flourish in the late 1950s, Abdulsalam AlRafi joined his father in running his successful merchant business. Learning the ways of trade, Abdulsalam launched his own import business, and by the early 1970s, the company had added real estate to its repertoire.
As Dubai boomed over the next four decades, so did Abdulsalam’s business. It became one of the most successful family-run property developers in the UAE, behind some of the most prestigious buildings in the city. Mohamed and Fahad, Abdulsalam’s sons, joined their father’s business and became increasingly involved at driving its success.
Today, SRG Holding is registered as a Dubai International Financial Centre company. Since Abdulsalam passed away in 2014, it has been led by Mohamed AlRafi as Chairman and Fahad AlRafi as CEO. We remain a family business to this day.

Our Founder

Abdulsalam AlRafi was born in 1942. He was the son of Mohammed Rafi Mohammed Saeed AlRafi, a successful groceries merchant who began a trading business in 1927 during the height of the Gulf’s pearl-diving era. He was a student at the historic Ahmadiya School, which Dubai's ruling Al Maktoum family also attended.
Guided by his father, Abdulsalam built his approach on honesty and perseverance, laying the foundations for long-term growth. Today, these same principles guide his sons as they lead SRG Holding.
Abdulsalam was a keen traveller, believing that experiencing other cultures broadens the mind. He was also a deeply religious man and was heavily involved in philanthropy and community service. In his own words, “l would like to give back to my homeland”.
